What is marked as a separate service, we do provide. It is work that requires knowing your installation from the inside, so it is quoted against it and cannot be included in a fixed package. Your team can do it, or we can do it with you: bringing the project onto your Gateway, pointing the tags at your devices and supporting commissioning. It is quoted separately and agreed before starting.
Questions
What people ask first.
Does it need access to my network or my Gateway?
The tool does not. The Studio runs on a Windows machine and produces files on that machine's disk; it never opens a connection to your Gateway, your PLC or your industrial network. You do the import yourself, with your permissions and whenever you choose. If you would rather we did it, that is the integration service, agreed separately and with whatever access you define.
Can you do the integration?
Yes. Bringing the project onto your Gateway, pointing the tags at your real devices, coupling it with your existing control and supporting commissioning is a service we provide. It is quoted separately because it depends on your installation: how many devices, which protocols and what state your Gateway is in. It is defined with you before starting.
What does it cost to run?
AI proposals use the model and are billed to your OpenAI account; the amount depends on usage. Deterministic recompilation does not call the model again. Ignition licenses, infrastructure and engineering services are assessed separately for your site.
What if I am not convinced by the result?
It is corrected in the Studio on top of the generated project — assets, signals, alarms — and recompiled. There is no need to describe the plant again, and recompiling does not consume the model again.
Does it work for any industry?
The catalog includes process-industry and discrete-manufacturing vocabulary. The automotive case shown on Product is a validated demo; it does not automatically validate every combination of processes. We review whether your process fits before generation.
The catalog is under active development. If your industry is not covered yet, we can assess the work needed to support your processes and equipment. Any extension requires engineering and validation before use. Tell us what you do, and we will explain what is already supported and what would need to be developed.
Can I audit what was generated?
Yes. Every package carries a manifest with file checksums and the build that produced them. Two generations with the same input and the same build produce the same result.
Which version of Ignition do I need?
Perspective 8.3. The package is imported from the Designer like any other project.
